The Anglophone Section launched into the 2022-2023 school year with a wonderful family picnic on the 10th September, organised by the Volunteer Committee. Families met at the Jardin d'Everan, near the Confluence, to catch up over a shared picnic and a drink, to welcome new families to the Section and to catch up with old friends.
The rentrée marks the start of a busy year for the Section as we welcome a new Head of Section (Dr Simon Herd), two new teachers in the Language & Literature department and a re-developed University Guidance service.
New families were welcomed to the school and the Section at our Tour of the CSI Lyon on 30th August, a first for the Section and organised specifically for parents and children who are new to the school this year. Nearly 180 parents and children were welcomed by staff on the day and taken 'behind the scenes' of the CSI Lyon in a tour that encompassed the primary, collège and lycée buildings.
Rentrée for the students took place on the 1st and 2nd of September, with old and new students being welcomed to the CSI Lyon. In primary, parents of new pupils were invited to meet the teachers, the Head of Section and the APESA President at an informal get-together.
